Irony’s tyranny

Why can’t we do anything anymore without being hyper-aware of every socially represented nuance involved in that action?

Sometimes when I smoke pot I become strangely hyperconscious of the social interactions and their implications between everyone. So much so I can predict, with scary accuracy, what will happen next. It makes it difficult to participate in conversations since all I’m doing is analyzing everyone and everything quietly, by myself, usually detached from the rest of the group. Which makes them think I’m weird, which my messed up brain realizes and analyzes. Thus creating a never ending cycle.
