Well, that didn’t go as planned

I played Settlers of Catan for the first time a couple nights ago.  There were four of us.  I’m not going to get into the details, but let’s just say it was an acrimonious affair.  I went from dealing with a goat-hoarding nephew with Catan Junior to wondering if I would cut the hypothetical rope holding up the chandelier my friends and company were metaphorically hanging from.  I can understand why it would be important to double-cross me as a way to stoke interest in a game for a bunch of kids, but this?  Man, why’s a person even got to do a thing?
