Amanda and I finally got to see End of the Tour here in Baltimore a few days ago. We knew what we were going into, and afterwards we had a great conversation about the movie. But, in all honesty, all I remember is the overwhelming feels I had at the end. So, so many feels. Between this and the ending of The Brothers Karamazov, I’m both desperate to reread Infinite Jest and absolutely afraid to watch or read anything at all for fear of what my eyeballs may do to me. I can’t trust them anymore!
People, go watch it. Pirate it if you have to. It’s an incredible character study, not of DFW as much as the Lipsky. There’s not really any plot, but you get too engrossed in the characters interactions to care.
