Extra post for today because it’s the 30th anniversary of the Challenger disaster. One of the three tragic disasters to strike the NASA’s manned space exploration program, and one of the more affecting memories I have growing up. I played sick that day to skip school and watch the shuttle launch at home.
NASA has a nice site about all three tragedies. I don’t know how long January 28th has been NASA’s official day of remembrance, but I like the idea of it. It should be a national holiday.
