The ol’ blog and podcast here have gone silent for a few weeks now. It’s not because we’ve abandoned this endeavor. It’s just that it’s the end of the spring semester: my class burned me out, then I started a series of travels that continue until nearly the end of June.
- First there was the burgeoning religious cult compound in the middle of nowhere West Virginia.
- Next came the crashing of a Harvard alumni reunion celebration.
- After that came a rally car event on the back roads of Connecticut and a surprise appearance by the Boston Red Sox mascot.
- All this gets topped off with a quick two-week jaunt to China starting next week. (I’ve been watching a bunch of John Woo flicks to catch up on the latest cultural trends over there.)
In the meantime, I weaved a 20’x6′ twine trellis (using a 8″x8″ grid) for my clematis vines in the backyard last night and started pulling supplies together to build a new table this weekend. Oh, and I did a little writing, too.
It’s the summer time, and there’s so much to do. Please don’t think we’ve forgotten about you. We’re still around. We’re just waiting for things to settle down a bit.
