52 Books: The Last Pumpkin Paper

Holy crap, we’re back on track!  It took a week, but I read Bob Oeste’s The Last Pumpkin Paper, and I enjoyed it.  It’s a Nixon thriller taking place simultaneously in 1948 and 1989, and it’s heavy on the conspiracy theory.  I knew nothing about any of the source material going into this novel, and Oeste does a great job slowly ducking and weaving through the intricacies, pulling together a narrative that kentuckies neatly into real events.  Also, it’s a funny book.
